IntroductionWalking KitWalkers joining the club should ensure when walking with us that they have the following
Car Sharing and TransportWe usually operate a car share scheme whereby we meet at Bampfylde Street (behind Focus) before making our way to the start of a walk. This is particularly useful when there is limited car park space at the walk start point. Members are expected to make a contribution of 8 pence per mile towards the cost of the petrol etc.Some of our walks take advantage of Public Transport and are noted in our walks programme. DistanceAll the mileage given in the description of specific walks is for general guidance only.CompletionAfter the walk it is an option to stop at a café for afternoon tea.DogsIt is a rule of the club that dogs are not allowed on our walks.DisclaimerThe Exeter Rambling Club, neither the walks leaders nor any individual in the club, accepts responsibility for ANY circumstances which may arise during or as a consequence of a walk. Walkers safety is their own responsibility and individuals are advised to check their own accident insurance and should take due care at all times.AccidentsIn the event of any accident which requires medical treatment the leader should inform the Secretary as soon as possible after the completion of the walk.
